The Broadcast details for Global Chess League 2023
The Tech Mahindra Global Chess League 2023 is ushering in a new era in the game of chess. World class players, world class production, world class facilities. However, one thing that everyone had been complaining about is - where to find the broadcast details. Well, in this article we bring you all the details for following the broadcast both within India and outside it. Don't forget to tune in today for the 1st match on 22nd of June 2023 at 5.30 p.m. local time in Dubai.
A lot of you have been excited for the Global Chess League - some of the best players in the world are taking part. However, what is not clear, is where is the event going to be broadcasted. This article gives you a breakdown of that.
India

Outside India
There was a press release which mentioned the following names: Eurosport, DAZN, Saudi Sports Channel, Shahid, StarTimes, Fox Sports and Kayo Sports, Verdens Gang, WELT, Sportklub, TAPDMV, The Gaming Channel, S Sport, and more. You can figure out which of the channels/OTT platforms you have access to and then watch the Global Chess League there.
The press release further mentions: With a wide-ranging broadcast footprint encompassing almost every territory worldwide on OTT and over 140 linear broadcast markets, Global Chess League will be the most widely distributed chess tournament of all time.
Schedule:
We have two matches on 22nd of June 2023. The first one starts at 5.30 p.m. local time in Dubai, which is 7 p.m. IST. On day 2 we have four matches. For the entire pairing and all the details, please check on the chess-results link below:
Prize money:
The total prize money of the event is 1 million US dollars. It is distributed in the following manner:
1st place - US$500,000 to the owner of the winning team
2nd place - US$250,000 to the owner
3rd place - US$100,000 to the owner
4th place - US$100,000 to the owner
Additionally, each player of the winning team gets US$7,500 and the manager gets US$5,000.
