Ankit Kumar Singh of Jharkhand scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 points to win the 1st G H Raisoni Memorial Katni Rapid Rating 2026. The next 5 places were clinched by local players of Madhya Pradesh. Muralilal Kori scored 8/9 points to finish in 2nd place. 4 players, including Vaibhav Tomar, Viabhav Nema, Harshit Saraf, and Harish Phulwani, scored 7.5/9 to secure 3rd to 6th places according to tiebreak scores. The tournament was organised at Arindum Hotel, Katni, on 31st May 2026. The Total prize fund was ₹2,00,000, with the top 3 prizes of ₹31,000, ₹25,000, and ₹20,000, along with trophies. Ankit Kumar Singh scored a perfect 8/8 before drawing his last round against Vaibhav Tomar. Ankit had a clear 1-point lead over the field after the penultimate round, which helped him win the tournament with ease.
