9-year-old Madhvendra Pratap Sharma wins Khelo Chess India Blitz 2023 with a perfect 7/7

ChessBase India is organizing tournaments continuously as part of 'Khelo Chess India' at Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The reigning MPL 35th National Under-9 Open champion, Madhvendra Pratap Sharma won the Blitz tournament with a 100% score of 7/7. Currently, Bhopal's top player, Aishwin Daniel scored 5.5/7 to finish second. His sole loss was against the eventual champion, Madhvendra in the fourth round. Vedant Bharadwaj scored sole 5/7 to finish third. The next event of Khelo Chess India will be a Rapid tournament on Sunday 19th March 2023. Check out the article for more details.

A beginning of a new era of chess in Bhopal

There is a dawn of a new chess era at the capital of Madhya Pradesh - Bhopal. The reason behind it is the continuous organization of Rapid and Blitz events, part of Khelo Chess India series. There was a participation restriction of 32 players due to the space constraints at the venue - Hotel Bonsai.

The next event, part of Khelo Chess India, will be a Rapid tournament which has a total prize fund of ₹15100. It will take place on Sunday 19th March at Shree Digamber Jain Temple Hall, Shahpura, Bhopal.
